The fastest Atlantic crossing by any Concorde took only 2Hs, 52min, 59seg. This record breaking plane-THE CONCORDE ALPHA DELTA G-BOAD.
The power: Concorde Alpha Delta is capable of reaching apeeds of 1.350 mph, mach 2. On take-off, 250 mph and has a cruising altitude de 60.000 feet.
During her career, G-BOARD flew 23.397 Hours, made 8.406 landings and underwent 7.100 supersonic cycles. The final flight of the Alpha Delta took place on November 10,2003.
Capable of reaching speed of 1.350 mph, march 2, Alpha Delta remains the fasteste and the higest-flying airliner in existence - and one of the finest examples of aviation engineering.
Due to friction heating, the Concorde expands aproximately - 8 INCHES - during flight.
Concorde Alpha Delta cost $152 million to build (in 1976, Dollares )
She is powered by FOUR Rolls Royce/SNECMA Olimpus 593 engines.

  • if you want to see detailed operation of this very aircraft (g-boad) check out ITVV`s concorde documentary video. it comes in 2 parts (lhr to jfk and back in the second part, ~5hrs of material together). it coveres virtually every aspect of concorde flying, from pre-flight to the famous gap between fuselage and engineers panel. really a must see for a concorde fan.

  • @Skellhell91 I know, just trying to point out what kind of gas guzzlers those trents are! They say concorde is thursty, but if you calculate by plane fuel usage, not per passenger, A380 carries and burns 3 times the amount of fuel.

  • @barthoedemaker Ofc, but the trent engine cannot operate at supersonic speeds. So in this case, Concorde with trent 900 engines would be useless.
