A part of me likes this song because it's cute and it's pretty easy to relate to. But then it gets to the "I'm ruined" part and I say "fuck this". She sees a hot guy, he gets away, and she's ruined?

Last time I checked, there was more to life than dating attractive boys. And dating in general.

I realize it's just a song, but songs like this are written from experience and that's just pathetic.

Sounds to me like her only problem is she needs a big heaping dose of "get the fuck over yourself".

I don't think this was actually written from experience, contrary to some other songs like If I die young and walk me down the middle.This is supposed to be a fun song and not taking it so serious, but I get what you're saying. Anyway, the way I see it, she didn't dumped her boyfriend for a hotter guy, she fell in love with this other guy and realized she didn't love her boyfriend (like a postcard from paris- what she thought love was-when I've seen the real thing- love for real).Just MO anyway

I love how they're so old fashioned. I'm tired of "pop country." Why would you do that to country anyway? Lol I met them at the fair in Amarillo a while back.. They are the absolute sweetest people. If you have the chance to see/meet them, do! They're amazing! :)

I don't think that it's necessarily about seeing a hot guy and being upset that he got away. I feel like it's the fact that she was in a relationship and then maybe something _happened_ with the guy, and he was better, but for one reason or another she wasn't able to be with him. I don't know. I don't think that you should interpret it so literally.

Hmm. Yeah. I see your point.

Although the way I took "I'm ruined" is over the fact that her previous relationship was ruined. And... Well... everything she thought she had known before she saw this guy was just ruined. That's why coming around was the meanest thing he ever did. She wasn't ruined because she didn't get a chance to know him. She was ruined because her whole world was switched up and changed around completely!

But, that's my opinion on that.
