The Boys in the Striped Pyjamas - JaiiGee

About a year ago when i was still attending school my grade 10 english class read the book "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas", a novel by John Boyne written through the eyes of a 9 year old German boy named Bruno during the time of the Holocaust. Bruno's father was the Commander at a concentration camp where Jews would be forced to work and be killed. Bruno and his family move from Berlin to a house just outside the camp grounds. When the naive german boy wonders off he meets a Jewish boy named Shumel (8) on the other side of the fence. The two become friends through the fence but are too young to be aware and grasp what is truly happening. This book realy made me think about the "fences" we are faced with in life even up to todays date. I strongly recommend to everyone to read this novel. No, seriously, READ THIS BOOK. I hope you enjoy it as much as i did.

I wrote two verses to this song, one through Brunos eyes and one through Shumels.
