Never agqain will any one sing this song with the power and the strength and the awesome PRAISE from this mans heart and soul and his Love of America and GOD and Country. Never again will anyone be able to do this . This song was his trademark just as his Lovesong to his fans was Falling in love with you. Because he truly did Love us and he truly did Love GOD and Country. We called him the King of Rock and Roll and he called ON THE KING to get him through each show. Hugs BobbieRest our Love.

@hoelshageland So what if Elvis did not write his own songs. He did compose a few songs with Red West and his First Gold record, " HeartBreak Hotel " he Co-Wrote with Mae Axton. Elvis had a select group of professional Song Writers that Wrote Songs for Him all throughout his career as the Greatest Performer/Artist of the Century and beyond! Sure, other Singers have written their own songs, BUT NONE of them will EVER Top Elvis !

@B17MIKE That makes no friggin' sense at All! This Beautiful song Has NOTHING to do with Blacks, or Slavery, or Civil Rights! It has to be the ghetto raised uneducated blacks thhat made comment like that ! This Song is about God, Country, Southern Pride and NOTHING about the Blacks or thier plight of slavery through history !
