I recently bought the analong Q007 watch-phone.
-
Ich habe mir neulich das Q007 Armbanduhr-Handy gekauft.

***

I chose the Q007 model since the store advertiesed 1 GB memory and it has a larger 1.66" display.
-

***

Usualy the Q007 has only 128 MB and no a t-flash memory card slot which other models have.
-

***

I was aware that the chineese manufactors sometimes give out wrong details about the product specifications, but I thought buying it in a german shop would mean that they checked it. Good that I bought it here so I could return it easily.
-

***

It was $200 including Tax and delivery, so rather cheap and no hastle with import.
-
Die Uhr kostete 130 Euro ink. Steuern und Lieferung, also recht günstig und kein Importstress.

***

However, they did not have it in stock as stated when I asked, so it took very long and I allways had to ask twice everytime the ETA passed. Also it came in the wrong color. Verry unprofessional service, MG!
-
Sehr unprofessionell, MG!

***

Note that is VERY bulky. I did mesure it before ordering and watched other product videos, but having it on the wrist is really different. If you wear long sleve shirts be prepared that this will be a problem, if the size&shape is not a problem allready... The reason I have not ordered a other one is that they have smaller displays and are still almost as thick.
-

***

The big screen was very nice. So was the usability. But since camera resolution, memory size and java/j2me capability where specified wrong I returned it. If the memory would have been as advertised I might have kept it even with its huge dimensions. Im still thinking of getting the m388 (at DX), v2 or the VanDerLed version which is stated to really support j2me/java (and will get a dev-kit soon) but its twice as expensive (and still bulky).
-

***

I hope this review helps you a bit (even though I was in a rush and its sloppy). Its a nice watch if you know what you are buying, but for video and pictures the memory is just too low. I found a chineese dealer that claims to sell a q007 with t-flash memory slot but I am afraid to order another fake which I can not return easily. If you have questions or like the review, feel free to review or email me.
-

  • can i use this in australia? anyone know?

  • @momomotototo It depends on which version the store sells; Check out wikipedia / GSM_frequency_bands or google image search for GSM MAP.

Also check out shops like Deale xtreme with more reviews on the products...

BUT: I would recomend a newer watch with better features (microSD slot, java2me, lighter).

I her the cect S9110 has j2me support! Also you could get a €100/$140 android and a bluetooth watch (SE LiveView, OpenWatch) could be a better choice.

  • Thanks alot for making this video! You tha man! Almost bought this today and man am I glad I didn't! A Flash card reader makes a big difference, and the thickness of it. I bought the V2 Sport a week ago, and I must say I like it. It is still a little thick, but to most it appears to be a big ass divers watch, so it doesn't draw ANY attention till the buttons on the wrist band is spotted. My only complaint is, it has no weight. My bluetooth headset is heavier!

  • A update after a long time: On chinamobiles (orgdomain, german, thread 5315 post268358) I read that the cect S9110 SEEMS to have java- seen no proof so far, but sounds legit.

  • Mad vid but the phone is heavy

  • @Schorhr thanks so much, helped heaps

  • @Schorhr it's free cause we aint paying for it but the seller is:) i know the post office isn't giving it away...the seller is cause he can offered it. If it's a wholesaler they most likely have a deal with the shipping companies so therefore they can offered to cover the shipping cost. I don't know what ur talking about cause i haven't paid any extra tax for shipping for the watch here:) I paid $75 for the watch and nothing for shipping which means shipping was free:)

  • Free shipping is an illusion. Either they add it to the total price, or instead of an rebate. Nobody is giving anything away for free- especially not the post offlice.

    Even if buying wholesale.

customs.gov.au states that it is duty/tax free for orders of $1000 or less. Unless you receive several packages at once.

    ww w. customs. gov. au/ site/ page5549.asp

    Lucky Bastards! ;-)

Here they increased the duty-free to €150, but it's gonna get taxed if it's worth more then €22 :-)

    Ah well.

  • @Schorhr really that sucks:) Free shipping is a good thing here cause it means that u don't have to pay extra for shipping:) Combining cost isn't causing any trouble for Australia. The place that i got the watch from is a wholesaler that's why they can offered to sell at a very low prcie and offer free shipping:)

  • @tranjohn

As I am located in germany, there's 19% tax on international orders over €22/$30, and Paypal takes 2,5% afaik for the currency exchange in €... :-)

"Free shipping" is actually a bad thing, as the duty-free value is €22 on the order's value. Shops that offer "free shiping" are just combining the cost causing more trouble for many countries... I order at Dealextreme a lot, usualy I shop arround for stores wich display the shipping fee.

  • @Schorhr ur welcome and i haggled the price from $79 to $75 lol and there's no other paypal or import tax fees. $75usd buy now on ebay free shipping to ur door:) Just got the item delivered a few days ago and really loving it:)
