Captured the nightly ritual on August 2nd 2009. Bats emerging from under the Congress Avenue bridge for their nightly feeding run. This is the largest urban bat colony in North America. i lived in austin for 13 years.... i never once saw the bats. i even worked a few blocks from there and i never ever did see the bats. that just goes to show how much there actually is to do in austin. :)

Nice video! I remember watching the bats years and years ago - I can't believe how many people now show up to see them. But where else can you get that close to a million bats taking off?! Thanks for uploading.
