@lamarama1 Not all PDs ban SA guns from use, Ive carried a Springfield LW Commander on duty for the last 3 years. So what gives you the idea that not ALL departments will not let you use a SA? Maybe check it out before you go spouting on a public forum....

No - you cant get away with it with a rifle

man when he racks the slide it sounds so smooth!

@lamarama1 Oh really? There are quite a few agencies out there that authorize the 1911 for duty use. I can think of a couple of local agencies in my area that are authorized the 1911 for duty use, and the forums at m1911.org even have a sticky thread about what LE agencies issue or authorize the 1911 for duty use.

Awesome video. I really like the 'I don't subscribe to a surprise break' comment. I don't either and hearing the same from a pro confirms I'm doing something right (!)
What make/model 1911 is this ?

@AZTrailBoss Doug is shooting a Smith & Wesson 1911 that carries his name - The 1911 Doug Koenig.

Just once, I'd like to see these tips illustrated on some OTHER handgun than a 1911. It is EASY to have a straight trigger pull with a single action 1911. It is much harder to have a proper pull on a real world gun like a glock or sig. Police departments WILL NOT LET YOU USE A SINGLE ACTION GUN LIKE A 1911. HINT.HINT.

@lamarama1 you can watch this video about trigger control that we made with Charlie McNeese - he is using a Sig P229. Be sure to watch it, just once.
