Lee Keller and Kim Cavanaugh take a quick look at the many features on Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0. This version is for Windows computers only, but is as easy to use as any other program for basic video editing. Actually, basic over-simplifies the many features of this program. It's also great for YouTube users since it will publish directly to your YouTube account! It doesn't get much easier than that. Take a look at this and the other videos about Adobe Premiere Elements here on Palm Breeze CAFE, Convenient and Flexible Education.

  • I import my HD PVR videos (i recorded xbox gameplay), and when i drag it into the time line, it doesn't show the video playing, only the audio i can hear?? :/ and it has made my computer REALLY slow!! :(

  • @XxXps3ProductionsXxX First, this segment is four years old. Adobe has gone through several versions since then, all with major improvements. Second, I am not familiar with PVR files. Is that the extension? Finally, if you are doing an HD movie, make sure you select the right settings when you create the initial project. That is a critical step as it establishes the definition standard for your movie.

  • Can i gat Adobe Premiere on a Mac?

  • @Gabbiies Yes! This is an older video that you watched. The new version 9 is available on the Mac. I recommend getting the PEPE package that has Photoshop Elements AND Premiere Elements. The two working together make an awesome tool set.

  • i have a new dell studio lap w windows seven , I bought adobe premier elements to use with my built in webcam

does my outer come with firefire ??

    thanks ddshewolf

  • @ddshewolf I was with you until you got to your outer and firefire? I'm not sure what you mean. Premiere Elements is more intended as a video editing program than a video capture program. You should be able to capture with the software that came on the computer. You import those assets to the catalog in Premiere Elements to add them to your timeline and work with them.

  • im working on something and i had to look this up just to say this : FUCK YOU ADOBE AND YOUR PIECE OF SHIT PROGRAM THAT CRASHES EVERY 10 MINUTES! ... that is all

  • Хуйня!

  • "this is ancient, like two years old!"

    LOL

  • @ddshewolf You only need firewire if you use a camera that exports that way. While your computer's web cam will record for you, it won't be the best quality. If you have a video camera and tripod you can have better quality. You can find those that store directly to SD chips for under $199. If you record from your webcam, you should be able to edit those files in Premiere Elements easily, too. Just save them to a folder for your project.

  • i mean do i need firewire to edit with the adobe pre 8 i bought, im an actor not techie at all i dont know how to bring myvids from webcam to elements 8 to even add titles lol
