Just a beat I build up along with some Tribe Called Quest Samples. All sounds in the MC-808. KEEP THIS IN MIND - Theres SO MUCH more you can do with the MC-808 than what I am doing in these videos.. I am just keeping it simple (due to time) Hope You enjoy !!

  • hmmm, why would you buy this piece of hardware when you can get software like Ableton that will do all that this can and more?

  • @t1mTV its a hardware thing..you wouldn't understand

  • knocksquared - i have an 808 and i just upgraded the memory. how do you assign different sample sounds to different patterns within 1 rhythm set? i know you have to use the computer editor for this but do you have any advice? like what you did in the harder faster better stronger remix

  • @coloradoado30 Whats Up !! I have to do it the trucky way. I NEVER used the editor (computer) I hated it. So what I did with the daft punk vocals is i made a long wav with all the elements I wanted in it then just let the mc808 slice it and place it on pads. Kinda weak..but it was a decent workaround. Why Roland made it so hard to just put samples on selected pads is beyond me. I personally wanted to kick the designers of the 808 in the ass... THEN pimp slap them for that. Ridiculous.

  • knock is the man!!!!!! the one and only man on ni maschine, roland mc-808 and akai mpc's and mpd's. love his tunes in beatmaking. peace bro.

  • this joint hot son!

  • nice. you killed it with the beat and mix of tribe. hell ya, got an 808 myself, hope to be able to rock like that. good work

  • dang dude that beat is fire you made it mad smooth think I could use it for a song?

  • @t1mTV Music making on a pc is more like using an 'emulator'.. like you can play gameboy games with an emulator on a pc.. Oh yeah with software you can even use the computer keyboard to play music.. and it has more buttons than the grooveboxes.. so its better!! :) C'mon.. Search for a mc 303 groovebox.. they are very cheap and old.. but that stuff, i guarantee is really cooler than the most expensive software program..

  • how did u drop the wav file into the 808

  • oh shit, that's sexy

  • i love thi track!!!! it sounds awesome.....

  • hi man

i didn't understand the manual about the samples...it talks about tones, so i think mc-808 considers the samples as synth tones (in one patch), but my question is: how many samples can we put on the 16 parts? this is not clear to me. i hope is not just one patch (so 4 tones=4 samples) per pattern

    thanx in advance
