Let's take a walk through this little lane leading to the sea at Tanjung Tokong. There is a little Chinese area with two temples. One of them is the famous Tua Pek Kong temple where annual 'chneah huey' is held. The devotees of Tua Pek Kong (or Eldest Uncle, a deity) will predict the economy outlook of Penang by looking at the flames created by the joss-sticks. Other than that, there is this seafood place. But this video is about the life along this road, with a curry noodle hawker and a bunch of his friends. Visit my blog at http://www.penangfoods.com for more. The blog, Penang Street Foods has been mentioned by the New York Times.
I know the temples and am a big fan of the seafood place (Sea Pearl Lagoon Cafe) for their meat crabs. Also just aside the seafood place there is A malay stall with quality satay on sale. When returning we'll check out the noodle stall as well.
Nice movie.
Thumbs up!
