  • i think onkyo would have put fans in if it needed fans

now it makes lots of noise

  • @04beana If you have big speakers with a big power demand, and you are using the amplifier at it's maximum capacity, it's going to get hot. If its in a small area with a closed glass door, its going to get even hotter. And if your using the amplifier for something its not meant for, its going to get way too hot. He felt the amplifier was getting too hot, he added the fans to keep it at an adequate temperature.

Get your facts straight before you go and contradict somebody else's work...

  • also would fans also cause tonnes not oly audible noise but of electrical noise inside what is an extremely well built and sensitive piece of audio equipment that has shielded power supplies and segregated circuitry to allow maximum audio quality?

  • It as fans in already, in the bottom left, right under the metal covers, but that be ok in a closed cabinet.

  • ok.....that's new
