  • Worse than that, because when the show goes off the air, the production companies STILL make money off of DVD revenues.

    Imagine if musicians had this sort of screwball deal. We'd never have any one-hit wonders, because no singer would gain anything from it. And the Beatles would have day jobs.

  • It is just sad that a company can make money off shows everyday, but the writers of that show only get paid once.
