  • If you mean a laser dot then no as the reflected light from such a laser would have the same effect , and blank out the screen.

  • A bit late in reply sorry

Hi , yes the scope is IR , i had tried it with the IR on and off also the mag on lowest setting . I am informed that this is a problem with digital NV , as well as with the gen 1and 2 but with digital you wont damage the tube .

But for me the gen 1 yukon is best for my shooting locations.

  • Cheers buddy, i'm about to buy this and am glad that somebody has told it as it is, and not sucking up so they might get a freeby. I agree with the comment saying that we rarely find cones in the feild, but we sometimes hunt where traffic and the like are close by.

    Cheers Roger

  • Just bought the NS200, amazing piece of kit, i can see that flaring out on reflective surfaces can be a pain. But lets be realistic how often you hunting and a random traffic cone jumps out ;-)

Stick with it and please go and try it out away from street lights and see exactly what it can do...happy hunting.....

  • Would it work with Red/green dot???

  • Hi mate, NiteSite here! Is your reticule illuminated?? If you turn off the illumination this helped me when scanning area's with lots of reflective materials around. This may help however IR reflecting back to the scope is a difficult issue to challenge! Glad you like the kit, if you would like a list sending of camcorders with 'Line in' capability let us know, that camcorder you ujsed may be able to hook up to your NiteSite!

  • Might be a daft thing to say but can you just move the cones or just not aim near them? apparently the Pulsar N550 does the same thing too, its like your eye's iris, it regulates the amount of light by controlling the size of the pupil

  • nice reveiw daz,ive seen ppl useing coloured gel sheets to stop any glare back from the screen ;) looking at getting one of these myself.ProVC

  • i think it was a good vid and review thanks for sharing ....keep us informed how it performs without cones cheers

  • Same issue I have with a Pulsar N550, soon as a reflective surface shines back the IR light and the scope goes into safe conditions. Tractor and other agricultural plant with reflectors and number plates it shuts down the view. Your view looks good though when not looking at cones!
