this technique for slowing quickmatch is very helpful for on the spot remedy if there's no other available slower fuses to use...it is like choking the air inside the quickmatch so that the burning blackmatch inside the enclosed paper tube would make a delay effect...i have done this several times although i'm using zip ties and put 3 pieces in each shell with a 1 inch gap between ties...you'll get a machine gun effect with it...

that workedout perfect, nice upload :)

I've been given the advice to try this out, but never got to it.
Thanks for showing its actual effect, and keep up the awesome videos!

Not sure why I would "waste" QM and go through all the work to tie knots, when I could use slower consumer fuse....unless the QM is your only option and/or it's free.

Nice little technique folding the quick match at the clove hitch isn't required to achieve this correct? I've done it without and it worked just the same. Thanks Dave keep em coming!

exelente retardo boa espoleta !
I like the technique, but how effecient is it? sometimes kinks like that can make the quickmatch explode like a firecracker and the rest of the chain wont ignite. neat though none the less!

@XTRUTHDRUMSX Compared to the wireless firing systems used today this technique is primitive for sure. This is just good to know if you need it one day. One day you will be on top of a building or out on a barge and all you will have is string and tape. I also like to post this kind of thing for new people to see the properties of quick match.
