Colitis Vlog: Greetings from My Colon: July 4, 2010 Historic Figure with UC

In living with a chronic illness like Ulcerative Colitis it can be hard to find public figures that have had to live with the disease as well. Here is an example of one historic figure that had to deal with Ulcerative Colitis. William Wilberforce was an Abolitionist and helped bring an end to the slave trade in Brittan. He did a lot of great work for the country. He also had to deal with the constant struggle of living with Colitis.

Hopefully his story gives you some inspiration. Even though we are sick it does not make us lesser than anybody else. We can still be productive and find ways to contribute to the world.
