Here are what films I think are going to nominated for best picture. Remember, there are 10 noms this year. In alphabetical order: A Serious Man, Avatar, District 9, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Bastards, Invictus, The Lovely Bones, The Road, Up, and Up in the Air.

Wonderful to see District 9 nominated for best movie at this years academy awards, almost makes up for the disappointment of NOT seeing Sharlto Copley nominated for best actor

Inglorious was kinda not that great, it had few good scenes but all'n'all not that great of a movie, imho.
Hurt Locker was better than I thought, but a little preachy and had very many goofs maybe because of the woman directing a war movie..
Up was great, at least the opening :*S
Avatar, just a one dimentional story wrapped in to 95% of the movie being computer animation movie and 1.5 hours too long, with huge plot holes.. imho

Serious Man- meh
Avatar- definite nom
District 9- voters are too shallow-minded
The Hurt Locker- meh
Inglourious Basterds- my personal film of the year, probably nominated, probably won't win
Invictus- meh
Lovely Bones- meh
The Road- probably not
Up- i certainly hope so
Up in the Air- meh
