I have an IS and I would have to say your bias is a bit embarrassing.

The IS satisfies my desires for a car from the luxury sedan market and has styling that I love. It's better for *me*. But some people like the less compromised 3-series better, which I respect as well. Personally, I have a stripped down project car that gives me my jollies when I want pure sport. It's all a matter of preference and situation.

You can't argue that vanilla is better than chocolate.

I found and eventually bought a Lexus 250is (2006) with 30k less miles and about £3k less cost and what a car!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Lexus! it's made to drive without being built to be driven by a tosser!

its because us doesn't tax cars like a bitch like every other country does thats why the market is so competitive and everyone drives a car from some other country.. people probably tax a lot in germany cuz they don't want the german cars to depreciate

I have an IS250 and have noticed if I drive it with the paddle shifters it's quicker. It's a nice looking car for sure. My next ride will probably be a BMW X6.
