  • I used one of those old coffee scoops my mom gave me for each cup of water.Technically, yes, you should use a metal ring under the percolator if you use an electric stove. (Pyrex called them "Flameware" and are really meant for gas stoves. I let mine come to a boil, then turned down to med-low, and let perk for 8 minutes.

  • What temp? What measurements for water and coffee, and how long? Do you need to put a trivet or ring under it if you're using an electric stove? I have one of these in my cupboard from my mom, but I'm afraid to use it.
