Yes they were 104.1 KRBE's competition and were a better station IMHO. After a major drop in their Arbitron rating they switched to 'easy country' in 1992. It angered a lot of people and their raiting got even worst. They then switched to 'young country' and became #1 in the mid 90s.

Wait a minute, KKBQ 92.9 (93Q) is currently a country music station, I didn't know they were a adult contemporary station in the late 80's.
