I take that back. There are some horrible people in congress, but the only ones I'm aware of who are dumber than Michele Bachmann are Virginia Foxx and Louie Gohmert. Hands down. How could I forget about him? Because I was only thinking in terms of women, maybe?

There are some horrible people in congress, but Virginia Foxx is the only one I'm aware of who's even dumber than Michele Bachmann. They are two peas in a pod.

"People's" is possessive, not plural. You're mixing up your grammar.

yes, but in the mist of depression, he was under tremedous pressure as you can imagine, That said it is imporatant to realise that a market economy is obiostly not the anwer, thats why america impliments mixed

Like I said... I'm a little dense sometimes... So, you agree with me? (lol)
I'm certainly not the best at grammar and such, which is why I keep the Harbrace College Handbook always handy.
I found the definitions of "People, People's, Peoples, Person and Persons" in my other handy base of knowledge, Miriam Webster.

I am confused. According to the progressive narrative Herbert Hoover was a free marketeer who let the economy crash by not regulating it enough.
Does does that square with him signing Smoot-Hawley?

people means a group of persons
so it IS correct to say peoples when referring to grouped together (but seprate) entities of people.
its confusing, like a double plural
just think of it like flocks of geese
multiple flocks

And maybe I'm a little dense, but "Persons" is the plural of "Person."

Sorry... no offense, but if you wanna argue with Merriam Webster and every other place I looked... be my guest.
Cut and pasted from MW:
( pl. peoples ) [treated as sing. or pl. ] the men, women, and children of a particular nation, community, or ethnic group : the native peoples of Canada.
And actually when I was taking biology, my Professor was adamant we didn't use "Fish" as a plural. He said "Fish" & "Octopi" were accepted, but actually a misuse.
So there... (raspberries)
"She" (Virginia Foxx) is a TYPICAL REPUBLITARD!
As is Michele Bachmann.
Two toads from the same fetid brain-less, heart-less, swamp.

Republicans are going to get brow beaten across the board in 2010 because of their own stupidity, Obama is going to increase majorities in both the House and Senate if the Republican Leadership don't put a gag order on people like Foxx and Bachmann.
