Rodeos are always finding more ways to terrorize baby animals.

Goat tying is an event created to apparently mimic calf-roping, but intended for female contestants. At the National High School Finals Rodeo, terrified baby goats are chased down by contestants on horseback as an appalling excuse for "sport" and "family entertainment."

A goat that is already tethered to a rope is approached by a girl on a galloping horse. Terror-stricken, the goat frantically tries to escape the oncoming horse and abuser. The roper jumps off the horse, slams the tethered goat down and ties its legs. It's a little like tackling someone who is already in handcuffs.

  • Screw this, has it stopped yet its so sad.

  • @Boxshot1 No, it has not stopped and won't until laws are changed. Currently, in the states where rodeos operate, rodeos are exempt from animal cruelty laws. That makes animal abuse legal and acceptable in rodeo arenas.

  • Fuckin idiots it's not even a real sport poor goats id love to flip them over, tie there legs and trample then with 1200 pound horse and see if it's still a sport then idiots

  • I do agree that some girls are overly rough with the goats and there should be penalty's for it. But I can assure you they NEVER use baby goats, the goats are Pygmy Goats, their usually over one year old when their used for goat tying but their their very small goats. Their like midgets, fully developed but small. The chalk marker is actually a really good idea and should be brought in.

And I dont care how damn fast that horse is, a horse should NOT run when you get off.

  • @horsecrazy1710 Fact is animals are injured and killed in rodeos. Be happy about that and ignore it. We won't.

  • @SHARKonlineorg

you can deny the FACTS all you want too . and you still have no right to start posting videos of rodeos and say its animal abuse. a lot of people do this for a living and were taught in this lifestyle and just because of your pathetic opinion doesnt give you any right to dis the sport.

  • @AmalamCooper ""The method of catching and tying is an almost correct way of doing it and the same as you would see on a farm" Those are your words. Using a horse is how they 'catch' them in the rodeo. And it's not how it's done on a farm. Less blunt? Would we prefer we tiptoe or use innuendos because you can't take the plain truth? And please tell us where in our post we were not 'respectful' of you.

  • @SHARKonlineorg I never mentioned the horse. I mean the way they hold it and tie it, but obviously without the brutality. I honestly feel that as a representative of an organisation you need to learn to be slightly less blunt and a bit more respectful.

  • @2303jeni The only thing rodeo knows about animal welfare is how to put those words in a rule book then ignore them. The fact animals are injured and sometimes killed in the same events over and over and nothing is done to modify/change those events to stop further injuries is proof rodeo does not care about any animal's welfare.

  • @AmalamCooper On a farm, one wouldn't ride up full force to an already tethered goat, risking injury to it.
