Do you remember local television?

In the 1980s, the Public Affairs Department of Boston's WBZ-TV produced several dramatic specials on film. The theme of this one, "Tender Places," is divorce as seen through a child's eyes.

Actress Jean Stapleton and "Evening Magazine" co-host Barry Nolan are among the cast of this teleplay. It was broadcast in 1985 as part of the station's "For Kids' Sake" public service campaign.

Three of those kids playing football at the beginning are my cousins. I thought it was the coolest thing in the world when I heard they were going to be in a movie until I saw it. Haha

I remember this. They actually showed it on our Austin, Texas NBC affiliate back in 1987. And yes, it had a "For Kids Sake" moniker as well.

Yes he did, I think it's the '89 theme 'til the '92 theme.

I think this has sentimental value to it.
