In my opinion, if you watch the movie without reading the book. You will miss a a lot of the symbolism and impact conveyed in the scenes.

I watched the movie straight after reading the book... and wow, how do people understand the movie without reading the book? I was very confused in the beginning of the film, even though I knew perfectly well what was going on because I had read the book. I liked the movie, but I don't see how people can truly understand it without reading the book... Some scenes were so jumpy and out of context, HOW DO PEOPLE UNDERSTAND IT? Love the cast though :)

The Beatles song doesn't fit this at all. They needed to use Jonny's music to envoke the theme. Oh I hate it when movies are provided amazing music and never use it in the trailer as if it wasn't good enough.

My friend gave me this original books and she told me it's fucking sucks. I've never read this books,I just watched this movie yesterday,this is saddest movie I've ever seen.I think Naoko should realized that the sex is included in love,the real love.
