Impressive 22 pound Cubera Snapper, Surf Fishing El Salvador. Caught on light tackle Penn 4300sg, 12 pound test.

@linkavitchC I was in Metalio area about 3 years ago and the water was crystline and a hand full of sand/water showed tons of critter life. Saltwater spearfishing is real nice were there are outcrops. there. Lake Quatepeque & Ilopango also very clear.

@QuesoChino i heard the water in el salvador is pretty murky. i heard theres some spearfishing in freshwater lakes there. more curious to how the spearfishing in saltwater is there?

I use to live in El Salvador. Nice Cubera - good job. Bien echo. Hay que hacer un poco de cebiche! Excellent fishing on entire coast of El Salvador. I was sspearfishing in the 70's and saw a Jewfish larger than a VW. ME traes buenas memorias. Gracias.

sure ;), another thing i didn't answer, for snapper and snook always use a slow retrieve, with ocational quick jerks of the rod. That works also for jacks, but they prefer quick and violent retrieves and jerks!
