Robin Hood Defender Of The Crown Playstation 2 Game (Sample Part 5 and a view of the Game Menu)

Note: SENDING A SPY:You can send maid marian as a spy into an enemy castle and after sometime she will tell you how many Archers,Knights,Footmen,Peasants,and catupults,the enemy castle the you chose for her to spy on has. You can do this to any enemy location the is pulesing (or flashing you can see it do this when you zoom out to the main map) if the location is not flashing when you click on Maid Marian then she ethier has already spied it out for you or you cannot send her there.You can do this to any enemy castle that you want wether you are going to attack it right after she tells you or wether you decide to attack it later.After you do this to ever enemy castle on the map you can then at any time highlight the enemy castle and hold down one of the control buttons and see how much of an army you need to gather before you attack the castle. If you have not sent Maid Marian to spy on the castle it will not show you how many men that enemy castle has.
CASTLE ATTACK: Little John tells you what wall and what is on that side of the castle. Archer Tower,Catepults Workshop,Footsoldiers's Barracks,and Kinights Stables.Little John will also tell you if you got the target or not.It is best to knock down all four walls as best as you can this sometimes reduces the number of enemy soldiers that you will face during the field battle (depending on wether or not you lost any men during the seige of the castle walls and how many you started off with.It is best to sart with the wall the has the 1st Archer Tower,2nd Catepults,3rd Footmen,and then 4th wall knights. You can charge the castle at any time but it is best to keep knocking down the walls and getting rid of as many as you can of the enemy soliders before you charge the wall (this usually makes your battle field chances better (and the game will eventually automaticall have you charge the castle when you've knocked down enough of the walll or walls). You can use stones and Greek fire when useing your catepults (however you only get one shot per wall of Greek fire so be sure you aim right. And if you've unlocked it you can use a disease ball as well.But you have a n unlimited supply of stones). You can fire 10 at a time if you hold down the button long enough,but if you do this there is a great chance of have some of your army hit.If you fire five at a time you can chuck'em faster then waiting for it to load 10 and usually your army ethier doesn't take to much or doesn't take any damage at all (as long as you don't miss too many times) You also want to make sure you can fill it as soon as you can if you leave a castle (that you have defeated) emtpy an enemy lord will claim it. You can only go out and attack an enemy castle useing your campane army your garison army only guards your castle or any castle that you've defeated and cannot be used to go out and conquer other castles.
You are only allowed to use 10 catupults at a time but you can pack as many as you want for the battle.
FIELD BATTLES: The field battles all look like an unfolded map with chess pieces on them (just about that way anyways) with 3 rows that you and the oposing army to left and right from. Robin Hood's army is always green and they are always found on the left side of the map (battle field) and the enemy is always on the right side and is usually the same color as there banner (whatever color it maybe).However Robin Hood's army is always green and Prince John's army is always purple.You sometimes have a risk of counter attacks right after a victory so be sure when you attack a place you have enough left over in case you're attacked again. Peasents are just about useless in a battle but they make a great side target for your enemies during battle. You usually want to get rid of the enemies Knights and Archers first and the Footmen and Peasants are usually not too much to worry about. Sometimes if you did not go to war with a large enough army or did not make sure you had enough slodiers gaurding your main stronghold (or castle) Nottingham you will loose the game.

how come in my game only 1 boulder is shown even thouhg i have 10 catapaults?

If you hold down the X button (before you fire it) you should see the number go from 1,2,3, until it gets to 10.

That is of you have 10 catapaults.

But I sometimes fire 5 at a time instead of 10.

where u able to beat the game cause i always seem to lose when its just me and the purple guy left. or else the purple guys lose and the hole game ends
