  • Servers with CS:S weapons are hard to come by, so I ended up adding the sourcemod plugin on my server to enable them. Maybe if you did a search for L4D2 server CS:S weapons you might be able to find something.

  • Pretty much agreed. I hated the ending cinematic. Looked like half the Gmod videos on here. I would have been happy just having the same generic "Army helicopter takes you away" ending.

  • 4. With the design, I think the mapper meant to make the world seem bigger, yet closed off from the survivors you play as (with the bridge and locked/broken saferooms and all.) The part with the fire also seems to have been added in for length, as videos I saw of earlier builds didn't have that.

And on a side note, you know a good way to find servers with the Counter-Strike weapons? I've been wanting to try them, espically since I'm a fan of the MP5.

  • 2. The WTFness of the campagin seems to be mostly because of how the campaign tries to tie in and homage 2001: A Space Oddyssey. And we all know how well that film/book makes sense.

The campaign maker did make a page on the One 4 Nine website where he did his best to explain it. Check the info page for the link.

    3. I guess the base entrance was meant to be hidden in the house basement, and the house may've been owned by people in on the operation.

  • I love this campagin, mostly due to the atmosphere and liking the 2001 tie-ins, but I see the point of your complaints.

    A few remarks on yours:

    1. The chaingun over the barricade looks like you're supposed to have it manned while someone else pulls the switch, making it neccesary to try and protect them as well as yourself. Probably does work better in L4D1, though.

I have to admit that I've felt that most of the time that you're given a chain gun, it's not as usefull as your other guns.
