This is the 2009 graduation trip for the lightweight backpacking class at Realms of Inquiry private school. We walked 35 miles over 5 days w/ an average starting pack weight under 25lbs including all of our food and water. This is our story.

This is a pleasant example of how nice it is to travel with low-pack-weight and how the fun-factor goes way up. Aprreciate the views. Hard core packers just don't seem to get it. They think everyone who goes lightweight or ultra light, from my conversations with these other enthusiest, think we all suffer. Too bad they haven't looked at this video. I don't see a lot of suffering going on. I hear laughter and see smiles. Thanks for posting this.

The trip took place in the state of Utah, in the Southwestern US. We were between the towns of Escalante and Boulder, Utah on the Boulder mail trail and then heading down Death Hollow, a slot canyon in this area.
