Kate's "Piano Light" invention from the 1st episode of the BBC2 program 'My Genius Idea', supported by Cefn Hoile as the rapid prototyping expert.

This is a MIDI driven Arduino and Processing hack to help people to learn the piano. It operates in two different modes - realtime or patient. The realtime mode is shown. In patient mode the keyboard waits for you to push the right key before moving on.

  • So I am guessing that this is a device that you set on the keyboard? Right?

  • great! looks good. I think yamaha has keyboards with this function build in. Although you can actually see the keys light up themselves. Still , great work
