Microsoft Leadership Lecture Series - First Series Intro.wmv

Every year, the Africa Chairman of Microsoft Corporation, Dr Cheick Modibo Diarra hosts a series of lectures encompassing Microsoft's vision for the unlimited potential of the African continent.

The different series aim to foster positive thought and leadership amongst the youth. Building on their energy, resourcefulness and innovative spirit, they can become positive forces for change on the continent.

The first Leadership Lecture Series focuses on research undertaken by Dr. Alioune Sall of the Institute for African Futures. Dr. Sall published a well-known book entitled Africa 2025: What possible futures for Sub-Saharan Africa? It proposes ways for Africa to enter the 21st century. This first series has attracted over 5,000 participants from 6 different countries in Africa.
