'Killer Country'?  Jerry's version was only released as a non-album single in 1973, & wasn't released on an album until the mid 80s (he released an album called 'Killer Country' in 1980 but it certainly didn't feature this song!).

Jan 1973 Juke Box and Music to the Man were recorded on London Sessions Album with Heads Hands and Feet. mid 1973 Tony Colton recorded with Jerry using Pete Gavin drums , Steve Cropper guitar , Duck Dunn bass. for the Killer Country Album. In 1972 this number was composed by Heads Hands and Feet for the album Tracks . In 1995 Jerry's album Killer Country was re-released with Jack Daniels on the album..track number 13.

I just remembered your band today after driving myself nuts for months trying to think of the name. I have your stuff in storage, but I couldn't get there. Anyway, I already shared videos with a lot of people who look to me to suggest great rock to them. They buy lots of music. Any chance of posting the first three songs from "Soldiers?"

after discovering HH&F on The Old Grey Whistle Test a lifetime ago i went out and bought the album "Tracks" and have played it regularly since, it's great to see they still arouse such passion among music fans around the world

I could never understand why Jack Daniels didn't grab this song for an advertisement. Very evocative. Very attractive. Didn't it segue into Rhyme and Time on Tracks. Albert should be playing that song now ("I am the minstrel I'll give you a melody with these old gray withered hands.") Maybe not. I saw him play in NYC in June. Such talent!

First up - Albert Lee is a fantastic guitarist ( the fact he became the most-in-demand session player in Nashville was no accident) check "Country Boy" - the most obvious example. HH&F were Very close to Brit equiv. of The Band. I played that 1st Album til it wore-out. Great playing, great singing, Great inspiration and Essence.

This was obviously a bootleg (or a different compilation under the name 'Killer Country'). His 1980 Elektra album of that title has never been issued on CD.
