Well that is just stupid.... I am happy that we helped out GM because imagin all of those jobs lost... and who knows maybe you might work for a branch of GM they would just say sorry you are fired... and the jobless rate would have been higher! so that is why I think that none of the Big Three should go out of business because they have ties in to companies that you might not know about and then they would have started to collaps and it would ripple out to all of the other companies....

It's because of the unions we have the quality of life we do now. It's because of the unions we have retirement programs, it's because of the unions we don't have child labor anymor, it's because of the unions we have a lot of things. It is not the fault of the unions. Back in the 50's and 60's, auto workers made more per hour compared to the then minimum wage than they do now, yet the companies were raking in money hand over fist. Also, auto workers don't make 75 bucks and hour.
