@LonSeidman you can change the AE-AF button to lock during video..check out fstoppers on youtube and its under the "how to get better videos with your d300s"

starting from 0:27 it's a really great low light shot.
did you lock the auto exposure?
there doesn't seem to be any artifacts or gain.

Is there a way to lock the autoexposure on there? That's my single greatest frustration with the d300s.
What I did was move the exposure retical to the darkest portion of the frame to prevent it from adjusting on me. Works great here but it totally botched a sunset on me due to the shifting light.
