Michael Jackson - To Make My Father Proud

Au vue de la maltraitance de Joseph Jackson et de l'ambition qu'il a eu pour ses enfants, cette chanson est troublante.
To Make My Father Proud a été enregistrée dans le milieu des années 1970 dans les studios de la MOTOWN.
Cette chanson sortira bien plus tard, en 1984, alors que Michael Jackson était chez EPIC (SONY).
Comme beaucoup de chansons que Michael et ses frères ont chantés avec la MOTOWN, To Make My Father Proud est une reprise.
Chanson écrite par Bob Crewe & Larry Weiss en 1971 pour Frankie Valli, chanteur du groupe The Four Seasons.
La version de Michael Jackson est différente, ce qui a rendu difficile la transcription des paroles.

Though I don't know his father personally, I am sure that Mr. Jackson is proud of Michael and of all his other eight children. Yes he has been reported as being tough on his kids and perhaps he was a bit of a monster at times, but I don't believe that he didn't love his children or didn't take pride in their accomplishments or the people they became.

As for his mother, Mrs. Jackson seems to have the closest relationship with Michael and was surely proud of him and loves him with all her heart.
