@FSXFaulder: This plane was retrofitted with the Avidyne R9 Avionics decks and the Avidyne DFC100 Autopilot, both of which I am huge fans of!

Bahh..Who needs visibility when you've got all sorts of vancy avionics..Just makes the landing that much more rewarding.
I'm about to go recreate this scenario in X-plane lol.

Remember NEXRAD shows intensity of water and not convection. I know nothing about the weather this aircraft was in on this day however NEXRAD intensity alone doesn't necessarily mean thunderstorm.
Likewise on a convective day even the smallest speck of green on NEXRAD may be extremely hazardous.
