Just a vid about Cook and Freddie's relationship, obviously you have to realize that some parts are metaphorical.

The song is Kiss with a fist by Florence and the Machine

Here's their disalimer

"Kiss with a fist is NOT a song about domestic violence. It is about two people pushing each other to psychological extremes because they love each other... Sometimes the love two people have for each other is a destructive force. But they cant have it any other way, because its what holds them together, they enjoy the drama and pushing each others buttons. The only way to express these extreme emotions is with extreme imagery, all of which is fantasism and nothing in the song is based on reality.

Leona Lewiss Bleeding Love isn't actually about her bleeding. This isnt really about punching someone in the face. Thank you and goodnight."
--Florence and the Machine's MySpace page

I wrote (kiss with a fist) when I was very young. I was in love at the time and it was my first experience of love. You feel it with such intensity that it is physical. The lyrics are all metaphorical. It's all just talking about the pain of first love, not in a physical sense. It's like saying, I want everything from you. It's like saying you want attention, even a destructive one. You want the relationship even if it is bad for you because you want to feel something. You hate each other and you love each other.
------Florence Welch

Lyrics:

You hit me once
I hit you back
You gave a kick
I gave a slap
You smashed a plate over my head
Then i set fire to our bed

You hit me once
I hit you back
You gave a kick
I gave a slap
You smashed a plate over my head
Then i set fire to our bed

My black eye casts no shadow
Your red eye sees no pain
Your slaps don't stick
Your kicks don't hit
So we remain the same
Blood sticks, and
sweat drips
Break the lock if it don't fit
A kick in the teeth is good for some,
a kiss with a fist is better than none
Whoa, a kiss with a fist is better than none

Broke your jaw once before,
spilt your blood upon the floor
You broke my leg in return,
so I sit back and watch the bed burn
Blood sticks, and
sweat drips
Break the lock if it don't fit
A kick in the teeth is good for some,
a kiss with a fist is better than none
Whoa, a kiss with a fist is better than none

  • WTF

  • are they really a couple?

  • @MsPeacegurl Dude, There is a "dot button" on the keyboard. Use it.

  • How can you watch this video and not know that its skins?! Fucking morons!

  • OMG why has no one watching this video seen skins before??? :O

  • @kfdcl im not sure. all i know is that college there is like high school here. and maybe they would have but the stuff in skins happens to teenagers in high school. parents just need to accept the fact that that stuff happens and skins isnt making kids do anything. kids are gonna do stuff like that regardless.

  • @jessicaorwateva Doesn't the UK have a 'secondary school'? I thought that was similar to high school in America. Or is 'secondary school' and 'college' in the UK like American high school split in half? I'm not sure about the education system there.

Still, I think American parents would have been alright with the show airing if it was centered around American /college/ students (18-year-olds and older), seeing as they're level of maturity seems to be parallel to UK's 16-year-olds

  • @kfdcl college in the uk is high school here. its just called college. so what you said made no sense. both shows have kids in the same age group.

  • Honestly, I don't think Skins US would have had parents wanting to take the show down if MTV had made the story set around college students, (like in Skins UK,) instead of high schoolers, even though the characters in the US version were around the same age as the characters in the UK version.
