Adding Insult to Injury: Campbell Cuts Hurt Sick and Injured Workers

Excerpt from "Asbestos: the Silent Killer" video from USW 480 in Trail, British Columbia Canada where workers at Teck Comminco are sick and dying from asbestos related cancer.
In 2002 the Campbell Liberal government changed Workers' Compensation rules so that workers over age 65 could not get coverage. Unfortunately asbestos related disease does not present for between 15 and 40 years after exposure.
USW 480 wants voters to remember this in the coming provincial election.

In my view this liberal goverments been treasonist and unconstitutional ,I think many of the liberals should be arrested tried and convicted under the common law for treason and constututional violations.

Oh, you are so smart. I guess the Cowburn decision was something you didn't read about was it now? That's a court decision, one that went beyond WCB's internal review. Perhaps one of us needs to learn a bit more.

No coincidence Campbell said "BC is open for business" right around the time Lt Paul Bremmer said that "Iraq is open for business". Iraq was still smoking after the "Shock and Awe" campaign & carpet bombings (spring/fall) of Fallujah with NATO banned White Phosphorous.

WCB accepts these claims, and not only that, because the accident happened prior to 2001, the new legislation doesn't change their entitlement. Some people need to really get some facts before they spew their crap. No I'm not pro WCB, but I like knowing about policies and procedures and law. There are some corrupt rules out there, but lying about an organization doesn't help the cause, it makes you look like a bunch of quacks.
