He didn't pray for the soldiers he had killed, he prayed to be forgiven for killing them.

@Xbawcks4life and my grandfather fought in the WW2, but my grandpa fought for the red army. he was wounded in late 1944 by german artillery when their unit was crossing some river on rubber boats.

@spudnick3490 Correct ! I would go further and say that all the forces of the Empire were British . We were once all one people before the traitors divided our Empire .

yeah but it was the British who contributed the most...Honest to God...When people say America fights alone it is all right, even when it isn't true...But when Britain is said to have fought alone...Everyone flys off the handlebars and crys and bitches
@MegaRoosje1The wives, children, mothers, father, brothers, and sisters were heroes. But let there be no mistake war leaves black stains on a mans soul that never come off. My grandfather was in the 502 Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101 Airborne Devision. he fought in Normandy, Holland, and, Germany. every day he would ask god to forgive him and every other soldier on all sides for "killing the sons of god" as he called them.Any man whom freely faces hell and doesn't blink is a hero.
