I am a believer in God & my best friend is an atheist. We love each other deeply, we never judge each other & we have everything else in common except for our religious convictions. I am so proud & happy that I can be in this wonderful relationship that has held me up when things get tough & that we have been able to have mutual respect & affection through our differences. I used to debate a lot, until I got fed up hearing the religionists spouting the same shit day after day. It doesn't matter how sophisticated a philosophical argument is, bullshit is still bullshit. Incidentally, it might interest you to know that I don't read he "leading atheists".

That is an easy comfortable way to dismiss the debate. If you think that this negationism is a rational idea, knock yourself out, but if you dig a little further you will find that atheism is not such a simple idea to defend. I won´t lecture you in this matter, but just as an advice: don´t get blinded by the likes of Dawkins to the complexity of a very important debate.
