Should I get this or T2i? (550d)

Turns out you did need the instruction manual after all. Most of my later vids are shot using the HV40.

@NeroFoxZ I have no knowledge of how to import video with the camera's HDMI cable. I use a firewire cable.

Can you film onto an SD card or something instead of recording it onto a tape? And btw, what kind of tape does it use?

@aTacticalAZN I don't believe that you can record on an SD card. The SD card is primarily used for still photos that the camcorder can take. It uses MiniDV tapes.

I just got mine and i have a mac but i dont know how to transfer my videos from the tape onto my computer.. could u please help?

@TajWright You will need to use a firewire 1394 cable that attaches from the back of the camera to your Mac. Make sure your Mac has a firewire 1394 port. Once you connect the camera, open your Mac's editing program and turn the camera to the play mode. You can then import your footage.
