This is a song about the women of Auschwitz. It's the sad story of the ones who were chosen to work in the brothel that had been set up in the grounds of the camp...Certain male prisoners who were considered by the Germans to be worthy were given vouchers as gratitude for their work. the vouchers could then be used in the brothels to purchase time with the poor women who had been chosen for this awful task...Its a grim song but I make no apologies for telling their sad story.Lets hope this never happens again..but it probebly has, still is and will again...Will we never learn from this horror.......Mel
