Re-Upload! Whole scene and stereophonic sound!

Here the fabulous German high coloratura soprano Ingeborg Hallstein sings the most dramatic of Mozart's concert arias, written for the legendary Aloysia Weber whose vocal range extended up to A above high C. This aria is famous for its many climbs up to G above high C, becoming the ultimate test of the high coloratura soprano.

  • @primohomme 1. Please, please don't stop posting Hallstein vids. 2. Why don't you want us to give it a thumbs up rating? I can't believe that there are people out there so ignorant who will click dislike:-)))

  • @Ariadne7710

I just disabled rating because an idiotic fan of a certain coloratura who scooped all her high notes came in here claiming Ingeborg's voice was digitally fixed and pitch-corrected (even though these recordings were made in the 60's) and went on to rate down the videos I've posted of him. Of course I banned him, but he could still rate, so that's why.

  • @primohomme OK, I get it, and agree with you in that case! I get very fed up with all these cretinous people who cannot evaluate singing objectively and get obsessed with a certain soprano whether she is any good or not. It just shows their ignorance. And even when they can't fault such perfection they come up with ridiculous accusations of digital enhancement.

  • Take the ultimate crystalline voice and fabulous technique; add perfect articulation, great ease with the coloratura, with each note given its proper value and weight. And the result? = PERFECTION!! You just don't want it to stop. And these Mozart arias are the perfect vehicle for this flawless soprano.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if every soprano took as much time, effort and care to perfect her technique to sound like this. How great would that be for all of us perfection freaks!!!

  • She is so effortless.... blows my mind. (Thanks for the re-upload; it's great!)

  • Thank you for posting this whole scene and in stereophonic sound! This is one of the few recording made by Ingeborg Hallstein in Italian and she sings it with a lush lyric tone and dramatic weight ... the coloratura is crystal clear and accurate with clean attacks ... the rises to the two high Gs rise so naturally from her throat. She sings out full and strong! We can hear the joy in her singing!

  • I love her,her singing was stunning,i wish she was more famous.

  • Amazing, just amazing...

  • Brava! Extreme ease in singing.
