Well, thank you Gudrun74. Unless I'm mistaken, this is not the same rendition as the one "wienerfr" posted a while ago, right ? Less high notes in that rendition, but I like the energy and the fluency of her singing better here. A very nice one. I'm about to listen to Genaux's rendition.

Yes the version on wienerfr's channel is from 1/2 year later. Agree, in that one more extreme high notes at end of part B and da capo (this stunning elasticity in her voice!!). Here more agile coloratura, hard to tell which one I'd prefer. Probably this one which proves to any critic on earth that Mijanovic does play in the premier league of this hyper-exact baroque coloratura singing.

Très belle performance de Marijana Mijanovic. Mais surtout un orchestre fantastique (malheureusement, on n'apprend que le nom du chef ). La transparence du son est extraordinaire. Meilleure version de ce morceau sur youtube. Un grand merci pour l'avoir posté et encore : toutes mes félicitations aux musiciens "anonymes"....

And in addition to having the most beautiful, instantly recognizable voice, she's also a marvellous coloratura queen when she's in fine form... My gosh, I sound like a fan :o). Truth be told, in the Arcadian duets that I mention above, her voice is even more flexible than the magnificent Patricia Petibon... If you listen to the two of them closely, while Mija vocalises at an incredible speed with amazing accuracy, Petibon is a bit less at ease and the vocalises are less accurate.

Yes, some say that the eyes are the mirror of the soul. I think no idiom could be truer when it comes to Mija... Her eyes are the mirror of the purest emotion. No other human being conveys emotions the way she does. I fell in love the first time I heard the voice in the Arcadian duets conducted by Haim, I fell in love with the actress the first time I saw her on TV as Asteria in Bajazet and I fell in love with the woman the first time I saw her on stage as Cesare in London in 2007.
