  • It is seen that South Oss-e-TEE-ah and Abkhazia do not share a border. These histories are so fascinating but Americans care only about American Idol and shopping at malls.

Most of my follow Americans couldn't even find the other Georgia on a map, much less this one. Not even for a billion dollars.

  • South Ossetia is Russian Legend.

Ther was no osetian in this region 100 years ago.

  • There is no need to talk about things that do not understand! Ossetia (Alania), was the center of a great empire by Alan, Kosovo has always been a part of Serbia (Kosovo went Serbian culture), and Albanians sheltered there, when Albanians fled the Turkish genocide - so that Kosovo Albanians living in Serbian ancestral land; Chechnya has never had its State! So this is very different stories!

  • Death to separatist worms

  • and siberia must join africa? you dont kvow what EU is, I live in it and I can tell you it is NO freedome, but for the people who have money and big companies,

  • South Oss-ah-'tee-yah' and Abkhazia are great stories.

Now, will the Rooskies grant independence to Chech-knee-'yah? The answer is "schnauss"--or nyet.

  • ofcourse...thats our future..all kavkaz must join europe

  • Yeah and the autocratic and undemocratic E.U. is really gonna help them do that. Or prehaps not.

  • Great point, I totally agree with the Tunashvili family and could accept the wishes of Irena Kesanashvili & Natalie Saiapina.

Their views dovetail with my long term wish to see the EU encompass all the former soviet states of the Caucasia as well as those, like Chechnya and other neighbors, who wish to determine their own direction and future.
