  • Michael,

WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU? Obama has proven himself to be a liar in so many ways that you could make a dozen more movies about him. WHERE ARE YOUR BALLS? You STILL think the Democrats are NOT as corrupt as Republicans, or that the Democrats are THE Party that REALLY gives a flying fuck?!!! UNTIL YOU MAKE A MOVIE AS CRITICAL OF OBAMA, AS YOU DID OF GWB, YOU CAN KISS MY ASS.

  • @azkeyz What would be an appropriate alternative?

  • @FlamingTide Don't you understand that the cheap goods created by Western corporations put the underdeveloped countries in the position they are today; being utterly dependent on the mercy of corporations. Since large corporations can offer cheaper prices for things, they put most localized businesses out of the market; therefore taking away the people's livelihoods. Then, the corporations who need more labourers/raw materials exploit the impoverished people who they caused to be poor.

  • The whole "but now they have jobs" argument is true but very limited. You need to study the economic history of the country- and see what existed before their labor and resourced, and the profits thereof, was sold to outside corporate interests. If the people never got a chance to set up their own economy and profit from there own resources, the corporate presence really needs to be rethought. Also, ethical treatment of workers should be explored and exposed, so the consumer can choose wisely.

  • We can't call FDI "exploitation" when you realize that the wages they receive are much higher than the average hourly wage within that nation.

The WTO is imperfect, but it does keep countries within a mutually beneficial and multilateral system. I agree with jgold03 on his points since that is how wages in south-east Asia and China rose.

  • I suggest Michael Moore goes to some of these areas in developing country and persuades them to give up there new found work. After all, they are being exploited and clearly don't have the intelligence to know it's better off being unemployed and starving than working for a corporation.

Millions of people out of poverty in china in the last 20 years, and at what cost? Our wealth?

  • Hahaha what a alienated person.

    Wake up!
