Black man/women of slavery were un-educated, because the slave master kept them from reading and writing so they would be subservient and not escape. A non-self imposed ignorance. This had a devastating perpetual consequences.
The white society has been telling his-tory for about 100 yrs., i.e., radio, movies then steroid tv.
Therefore, how do you keep a people down? You 'never' let them 'know' their history...this is why Black People need their history.
