Entering the compact-car market as a new or updated model for 2007 is, well, not new. With the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa, Toyota Yaris and a newly redesigned Hyundai Accent already on sale, the entry of the 2007 Chevrolet Aveo into this highly competitive segment seems like old news. And in this case, old news isn't such good news for General Motors.

  • I have Aveo 2007..its great one powerfull engine 16v and extra design driving 195kmh max speed on 4000 ...I am faster then Passat 1.9 TDI 2004.....10 sec need to catch 100kmh....Very economic on long road...and very very great&smooth for driving...Suprisingly cheap price for this car...CHEVROLET...I LOVE YOU

  • The ecotec is pretty good. It may not be as efficient as Honda's and Toyota's 1.8, but it's also quite a bit more powerful. And I'm not just talking numbers.

I think GMNA would be able to pull off a good small 4 cylinder. Pretty much everything they've done lately has been amazing. They even managed to make the w-body into a respectable car.

  • 100% Korean Chevy.

  • Wrong. It's Daewoo Aveo with a Chevy badge slapped on its nose.

  • The Chevrolet Aveo is a car for smart people who knows that all you need from a car is for it to get you from Point A to Point B. All for just $14,599.

  • anyone know why the car feels unstable at freeway speed?

  • @vaguy78 because sometimes that 2-3k can make all the difference in affordability.

  • Got an Aveo Ls with 5sp manual: decent mileage. But I can´t quit complaining on its cheap finish, awful bouncing suspension, underpowered engine, excesively close gearing, severe understeer, uncomfortable seats... My sister and I went From Mexico City to Veracruz a couple weeks ago on her Aveo. All I can say is you´ve gotta knock down the gas pedal all the time and play a lot with the gears, especially on curvy roads, if you want to keep up with the traffic. Sporty feel without the speed SUCKS!

  • @vaguy78 because thats 3k more?
