Do you have balding patches on your head or any other part of your body?

Do you have trouble stopping the urge to pull out your hair.
You may well have a disorder called Trichotillomania, which means compulsive hair pulling.

I had these condition for 5 years and found a way out.

Now I'm sharing my method with the world and the results are incredible.

Go over to http://wwwhairpullingsolution.com and end your trich forever. Do it right now, because the longer you wait the worse the condition becomes ingrained in you.

Here's an article or two that should help you understand a bit more about your condition.

============
As a former sufferer of trichotillomania (compulsive hair pulling, also known as "trich") I am often approached by people looking for a one-size-fits all solution to their hair pulling. Of course, I'd love to be able to tell these trich sufferers that there is a magic bullet solution for all hair pullers, but this problem is a bit more complicated than that.

Throughout my research I have found that not all trich sufferers are created equal.

So far I have found three basic categories of hair pullers. Each one demands a slightly different form of treatment for the issues they involve.

In my opinion, the three types of trich sufferers are:

1. The "perfectionists":

These are people who often say that they need to pull out that hair because it "looks out of place" or "just doesn't feel right". They may keep pulling to get rid of those "misplaced hairs" until there is nothing left of their hair.

For this category of trich sufferers I recommend a combination of therapy to address probable self-esteem issues combined with habit reversal training. I believe this brand of trich to be closely related to OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). Here certain home remedies will be effective but must be combined with solutions that address the underlying self-esteem and perfectionist issues.

2. The "self-harmers":

These trich suffers pull out their hair as one of a variety of efforts to sabotage their appearance or mutilate themselves in some way. This problem likely stems from some emotional trauma in their past. Therapy would likely be most helpful for such a person to identify that trauma and deal with it. Habit reversal training for such a person would be a wasted effort.

3. The "fidgety types":

This is the form of trichitollomania that I suffered from and in my experience it is the most common form of the condition.

These trich sufferers are the ones that make most psychiatrists shake their heads. They don't seem to be suffering from any emotional problems and yet they can't control these hair pulling compulsions. They pull mainly to let off some of that extra energy they have because our society has become one in which we spend most of our time sitting around (e.g. movies, t.v., passive schooling etc.). Hair pulling offers this relief and gives them something to do with their hands when they in a situation where they are passive for too long .

For people who suffer from this brand of trich, therapy and drugs are largely a waste of time and money. More than anything else this brand of trichotillomania is a habit more closely related to nail biting. Here the approach should be one of pure habit reversal training. That training doesn't necessarily need to be done by a professional. There are a few effective techniques that can be done from the comfort of y our own home that can break you out of the habit quite quickly and easily.

Hair Pulling is a horrible condition.
But it doesn't need to go on forever.
I stopped my hair pulling and you can stop your too with my simple techniques.

Hair Pulling, Hair Pulling, Hair Pulling! We will defeat you together!

  • For those of you who want a working tip whenever you feel the urge to pull your hair just rub you scalp! I'm trying now to bet myself that I can't pull my hair for 2 weeks and it's going well!

  • It has to be something you purchase, doesn't it, because nothing in life, most certainly a "cure" for something that emotionally vulnerable people will never come for free.

    Thanks for establishing that(!)

  • i have had trichtillomania for 2 years now. my family doesnt understand and think that i can stop pulling at whim and i want to stop. can anyone tell me how to stop? any medicine or supplements? plz

  • @ ziggylata whatever your username is

I am 10 years old and I have trich

There is a way of not being able to grab your hair witch is wearing mittens indoors or sitting on ur hands

You can also see a doctor but I know u may not want to do this, I know how u feel

    X good luck X

  • I started pulling my hair out when I was 11 or so and I have not been able to stop since! The most irritating thing is when people ask me why I can't stop or tell me "to get another nervous habit." I just can't! :( It's comforting to know I"m not the only one out there who knows how it feels.
