  • Oh Man! This takes me back. I logged more hours on FFII than ANY other game EVER. It was sickening, I was so hooked. 3D, special effects, 5.1 surround - none of it mattered, it was just deep appreciation for the story and gameplay. 5 stars!

  • Same here, same here. One of the most captivating games for sure, especially when you know how to enjoy it! :)

  • very nice video gratz man :P

  • Thanks :)

  • FF2 was such a great game. nothing today could ever compare to the epic storyline and hours and hours of gameplay :P thank you for uploading this.

  • No problem. ^^ FF2 is my "most played" FF game in the series. You basically go everywhere in this game- planet surface, underworld, and the m*** (spoiler prevention).

  • @Beezycom you should get the DS version, it is great. Also get FFIII DS version too. Both are 3d remakes of the games. Lotsa say the DS graphics aren't good, but wow the graphics of IV on the DS are amazing compared to the snes lol

  • @Casanuda Yes, this one's story keeps you playing, amazing, I give up with boredom on other RPGs. Graphics and animations are highly over-rated these days.

  • Ah, FFII. The first video game to ever get.. some dust in my eye.

Not sure its really fair to compare gameplay footage to a rendered movie sequence, but still, good video :)

  • He's sleeping with armor!! Nah... This game is a masterpiece, with V, VI and Tactics, the others are crap

  • I have beaten the SNES version like 2 or three times. It never gets old to me and with the Emulators, it makes it that much easier and funner. Never played the DS version but it was really hot to see the scenes compared. Great video!

  • @lg3tech

When I was a kid I may have rented this particular game over 100 times. Probably enough to have bought it at least twice. I now have two SNES copies, the PSone game, and the DS version. Whenever I shake my head at how bad FF games have gotten I return to this one and forgive Square for a few minutes.

  • FF IV/II should get a movie, like VII did. It's just as good if not better.

  • @DarkFenix48 nevermind, you got me. i was only looking at the first part of that. but anyway, i just prefer the non-futuristic stuff until later in the game.

  • @DarkFenix48 cyberpunk---a literary genre that has nothing to do with the Matrix, being cool, or anime. it's a subgenre of sci-fi in which there is strong sense of helplessness, misery, dystopic ideals and loss of morality and/or humanity. corporations control the lives of their workers and reside in microcosms dictated by the status quo...that's according to urbandictionary so who knows if that's right but if it is, i see a little of that in ff 7

  • cyberpunk? FF 7 and 8 are not cyberpunk xD

    Futuristic maybe, but cyberpunk...
