Jack invited me to yesterdaze 8-20 concert with Dave Wickerham playing. Jack's
Wurlitzer is an absolutely wonderful instrument!!! Sitting back towards the pipe chambers causes your entire body to vibrate!! So much fun!!

Hi,
The DVD of him on camera is out now. This was just a behind-the scenes take during our three day shoot. See CAMERON LIVE!

Might it have been a better idea to film him playing?? Who gives a toss about the other camera people? Definitely not me.......

Would you happen to have Cameron's e-mail? I have a special arrangement that I did for him, and would like send it to him A.S.A.P. It'd be even better if you were neighbors.

Is the video they made of Erlkonig anywhere? (The one they ended up filming from this video?)

For those interested in learning more about this incredible 4/38 Hardman Wurlitzer that Cameron is playing, the family which built this home organ studio in Great Falls, Virginia has created an excellent website illustrating its early history in a theatre on the west coast, its design and subsequent reinstallation in Virginia a few years ago. Search under Wurlitzer and Hardman. The web link to the Hardman organ website can't be posted within a YouTube comment.

the bench is VERY much like an old howard seat!
I could imagine a very formidable animated silent feature, on the caliber of Disney's first "Fantasia", transitioning from black and white to horrifyingly accurate color. CC's keeping of the "hella out of pitch" organ voice for the Child, and the breathy, sinister das Erlkoenig's replies are nothing short of genius.
I WANT this DVD.

I sent this video link to many non-organ friends and told them to watch a "genius at work." I'm neither an organist nor musically astute, but I definitely appreciate what Cameron is doing. I've watched the video about 20 times. The DVD is coming out in mid April 2010. From what I saw of the three days of production, it's going to be nothing short of spectacular.

This Wurlitzer is great sounding at live concerts there. Interesting to see what CC is doing with it and how the film team operates too. Looking forward to hopefully an extended version of "the making of the DVD" on the DVD.
Does anyone have any idea what the bright lights pointed at the back of the console are for ?

It's to back-light the swell shoes and is for visual effect. You can see the result at about the 8-minute mark. A special bench was constructed for the recording session to allow video shots of the feet -- views that would not be possible with the regular bench. The vertical support was a single piece of angle iron. When I arrived on the first day of the recording session, Cameron was outside spray painting the bench!
