  • Hey Bill- Great videos much appreciated.

Quick question.... I have a small leak coming out of my heater core. Just wondering if I were to put a product like Bars Stop Leak would that clog up anything like my egr cooler. Have never used this stuff before and to be honest it kinda scares me. So what do you think try the stop leak or replace to heater core?

  • @rvvantholen1 NO NO NO NO NO. That nasty shit will clog your oil cooler and the problems will be expensive and difficult. NO NO NO NO NO

  • Bill, I have had the full BPD system installed on my 6.0. I'm needing a flush soon, is it still just three gallons of coolant or a little more?

  • @nwpowerstroker73 What is BPD?

  • In your fluid advice video on powerstroke help.com you say do not use a ethylene glycol coolant. you recommend a propylene-glycol coolant made by Ford, in this video your showing a ethylene glycol base: I've drained my 6.0 now I'm stuck. which video is accurate. I purchased premium gold from Ford but it's the same as you show in this video ethylene glycol

  • @jjcustms08 This is an old video that I need to change. The propylene glycol only came in the early 6.0s with and 02 and early 03 build date. If you have one of these older trucks with the original coolant, flush the system and install the Ford Gold coolant.

  • @powerstrokehelp BPD-Bullet Proof Diesel

Just had the flush done and it took an additional gallon of coolant. I know you recommend using motorcraft gold, but whats your take on using the ELC by Fleetrite

  • Now i should do this in my truck!!

  • Thanks Bill, you will be seeing my truck later this summmer for the Bullet Proofing. Keep up the good work!!

  • @wopperchopper I have been stubborn about the coolant filter but lately we have seen several very clean high mile oil coolers come through the shop so now I am a believer.
